The anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has surpassed 150 million copies in cumulative circulation. The story begins when Yuji Itadori (CV: Junya Enoki), who ends up sharing his body with the King of Curses "Ryomen Sukuna," enrolls in "Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School," an institution specializing in combating curses. The original manga concluded in 2024, and since September 2025, a spin-off titled "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)" by original creator Akutami and artist Yuji Iwasaki has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha).

[Synopsis]
Itadori was tormented by guilt after the mass murder in Shibuya, but he stands up after hearing Fushiguro's words, "Help me first," and reunites with Yuki and others hiding at Jujutsu High. The group heads to the Tombs of the Star Corridor to meet Tengen, seeking "a way to unseal the Prison Realm where Gojo is sealed" and "Kamo Noritoshi's specific objectives and future moves." Tengen answers their questions and begins to explain Kamo Noritoshi's true name and the death game "Culling Game" involving those who have been given cursed techniques that he orchestrated——.
