Webtoon "Tomb Raider King" to Air as TV Anime from July! Protagonist Voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya, Heroine by Saori Hayami, and Nemesis by Junichi Suwabe

The TV anime adaptation of the webtoon "Tomb Raider King," which has surpassed 500 million global cumulative views, has been announced and will begin airing on Fuji TV, Kansai TV, and other networks from July. Additionally, a teaser visual and the first promotional video have been released.

This work is a supernatural action series set in a world where mysterious "tombs" appear around the globe, with "relics" inside granting supernatural abilities to their owners. The story depicts the protagonist, Ryoga Goriki, who is driven to the brink of death by betrayal, slipping back in time 15 years and rising to power using his knowledge of the future as a weapon.

It has been announced that the main cast includes Yoshimasa Hosoya as the protagonist Ryoga Goriki, Saori Hayami as the heroine Irene Holton, and Junichi Suwabe as Goriki's nemesis Taisei Okawara. Hosoya introduces the work, saying, "This is a story about a man who, as a weak person, was unreasonably exploited and eliminated by the strong, and who returns to the past to accomplish his revenge."

For the opening theme song, "SHOW DOWN" by QWER, a popular girl band from Korea, has been selected. This marks QWER's first anime tie-up and Japanese-language song, with a portion of the track previewed in the released first promotional video.
