The "Jujutsu Kaisen" anime is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation. The story begins when Yuji Itadori (CV: Junya Enoki), who ends up sharing his body with the King of Curses, "Ryomen Sukuna," transfers to the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, an institution specializing in curses. The original manga concluded in 2024, and since September 2025, the spin-off "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)," written by Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha).

[Synopsis]
Struggling with guilt over the mass murders in Shibuya, Itadori stands back up after hearing Fushiguro’s words, "Save me first," and joins Yuki Tsukumo and the others hiding at Jujutsu High. The group heads to the Star Corridor to meet Tengen, seeking "how to break the seal on the Prison Realm where Gojo is trapped" and "Noritoshi Kamo’s specific goals and his next move." Tengen answers their questions and begins to speak about Noritoshi Kamo’s true name and the "Culling Game"—a death battle among those he bestowed cursed techniques upon.
