TV Anime "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" Teaser KV & PV Released, Broadcasting Every Thursday on TBS Networks Starting July 2026

The teaser key visual and teaser PV for the TV anime "Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" have been released. The series will begin simultaneous nationwide broadcast on 28 TBS network stations every Thursday at 23:56 starting in July 2026.

"Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You" is a manga work by Jinushi. Serialization began on SNS in 2022, and it gained attention by winning first place in the Web Manga category of the "Next Manga Award 2022." It is currently being serialized in the monthly "Big Gangan" (published by Square Enix). The cumulative circulation of the manga volumes has surpassed 2.5 million copies (as of July 2025).

The released teaser key visual depicts Sasaki (CV: Takuya Satō) and Tayama (CV: Seena Hoshiki) sitting with cigarettes in hand at the smoking area behind the supermarket. Additionally, the teaser PV that was released alongside shows a portion of the animation footage.

Animation production and merchandising will be handled by Asahi Production, which has worked on numerous video productions. To commemorate the anime adaptation, Asahi Production's official X account is running a campaign until January 31, 2026 (Saturday) at 23:59, where participants can win autographed posters and Amazon gift certificates through a lottery.
