TV Anime "The Drops of God" Broadcast Confirmed for April 2026! Advanced Screening Event with Kazuya Kamenashi and Others to be Held

It has been decided that the TV anime "The Drops of God" will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS NTV starting in April 2026. Along with this announcement, the main cast has been revealed: Kazuya Kamenashi (as Shizuku Kanzaki), Takuya Satō (as Issei Tōmine), and Maaya Uchida (as Miyabi Shinohara).

This work is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name serialized in "Morning" (Kodansha) from 2004 to 2014, with original story by Tadashi Agi and artwork by Shu Okimoto. It depicts a human drama surrounding the legacy of a world-renowned wine critic, as characters search for wines called the "Twelve Apostles" and "The Drops of God." The original manga has surpassed a cumulative total of 15 million copies worldwide, and this represents a new media mix development following the 2009 drama adaptation on Nippon Television and the 2023 Japan-France-US co-production drama.

Prior to the broadcast, an advanced screening event has been confirmed to take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills. Following the 17:00 screening, a cast talk show is scheduled to be held, with Kazuya Kamenashi, Takuya Satō, and Maaya Uchida in attendance. This will be an opportunity to watch episodes 1 and 2 of the main series ahead of everyone else.

Tickets for the advanced screening event are priced at 4,000 yen (tax included). Sales will be conducted via lottery format, with the earliest advance sales application period running from Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 20:00 until Sunday, February 1 at 23:59. Registration for Pony Canyon's electronic ticket apps "Ponycan" and "Kyanime" is required to apply, with a limit of 2 tickets per person.
