Hina Tachibana and Akari Kitō Share a Telepathic Connection? Cast Members Take on a "Bond" Challenge in the 'Chained Soldier 2' Special Program

A special program for the TV anime 'Chained Soldier 2' titled "TV Anime 'Chained Soldier 2' Deliver to the Mato Too!! Everyone's Party Live Talk Pre-Broadcast Special" aired on ABEMA on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

'Chained Soldier' is a battle fantasy manga currently serialized on "Shonen Jump+" with original story by Takahiro and artwork by Yohei Takemura. Following the first season broadcast in 2024, the second season began airing in January 2026.

In the program, with the cast of the "Anti-Demon Corps" 7th Unit assembled, they implemented a project titled "Show Us the Bond of the Anti-Demon Corps 7th Unit!!" This was a project to fully showcase the bond among the 7th Unit cast members, where one designated person receives a question and the other cast members try to guess the answer that person is thinking of.

The first person designated was lead actor Hirose. When asked "Now that the series has reached season 2, who is your favorite character?", Hirose requested a straightforward answer saying "You know this, right? It's about bonds," but created an unsettling atmosphere when he let slip "Because it's the 7th Unit" just before the answers were revealed. While Kitō and Tachibana wrote down the name of Kyōka, the 7th Unit commander who first met Yūki (played by Hirose), Hirose himself answered "Fubuki Azuma," a character newly appearing in the second season.

When Hirose shouted "Mama~!" imagining the nurturing Fubuki, Hino, who had anticipated this, had written down Fubuki's name, making the challenge an unexpected success. Hirose, whose prediction was off, exclaimed "Wait, I wanted to create a situation where everyone wrote Kyōka-san and I'd get scolded for why I didn't!" and tried to follow up with "Of course, number one is Kyōka," but everyone gave fierce retorts saying "But you wrote 'Fubuki'," and the studio was filled with laughter at this development where a bond crisis immediately arose.

Also, when Tachibana was asked what she would want to eat as a reward, she said she couldn't think of anything, so she changed the topic from food to drinks. Kitō, who answered "strawberry milk," perfectly matched Tachibana's answer, and the two were overjoyed. Hirose, who had said "I don't know the name of the drink," brought her flip card reading "Fluffy Strawberry-filled Heart Smoothie" toward the two and rejoiced treating it as correct saying "Yay, I'm happy!", but once again received fierce retorts from everyone saying "No, no, that's different!", and the studio was engulfed in laughter again. Though Hirose fought back saying "It's the same thing!", the exchange that was reminiscent of their positions in the series generated excitement.
