The official X account for the manga "Medalist" posted an "One Second Before Performance Ad" on January 22nd to commemorate the release of the latest volume 14, generating significant buzz.

It was revealed in the thread of the post that this newspaper advertisement, published in the Asahi Shimbun, features a specification where the design varies across five regions nationwide.

The released image captures in monochrome tones the serene back view of Inori Yuitsuka (CV: Natsumi Haruse) as she faces the audience and judges at the center of a vast skating rink. The upper section features a long shot conveying the tense atmosphere of the venue, while the lower section displays a close-up of Inori smiling with eyes that, though gentle, harbor strong determination. At the center, a powerful copy reads "Miracles, Follow Me."

Fans responded to this post with comments such as "Inori-chan has become so dignified," "I really love this art style," "Just the copy 'Miracles, Follow Me.' gave me goosebumps," "The regional variations in the newspaper ad design are exciting," and "The sense of expressing the moment of silence and resolve in an advertisement is wonderful."

"Medalist" is a manga work by Tsurumaikada serialized in Kodansha's "Monthly Afternoon." It tells the story of Inori Yuitsuka and Tsukasa Akeuraji (CV: Takeo Ōtsuka), who meet as "athlete and coach" while harboring strong dreams for figure skating, as they aim for the glorious title of "Medalist." The TV anime's second season will begin broadcasting on January 24th, 2026.
