Masashi Kishimoto, Gege Akutami, Tatsuki Fujimoto and Others Show Their Support! Luxurious Lineup of Creators Send Illustrations & Comments for Original Anime Film "Cosmic Princess Kaguya!"

Congratulatory illustrations and comments from a luxurious lineup of manga artists and creators have been released for the original animation film "Cosmic Princess Kaguya!", which began streaming exclusively worldwide on Netflix on January 22nd.

The film is directed by Seigo Yamashita, who has captivated anime fans around the world with his work on opening sequences for "Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1," "Chainsaw Man," and "Urusei Yatsura," among others. This marks his long-awaited debut as a feature-length film director.

The film was produced as a "music animation project," with music provided by renowned Vocaloid producers including ryo (supercell), kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot. Highlights include live scenes set in the virtual space "Tsukuyomi," which serves as the story's stage, showcasing the fusion of emotional visual direction and music that Director Yamashita excels at. Animation production is handled by Studio Colorido in collaboration with Studio Chromat, led by Director Yamashita.

The five creators who contributed congratulatory comments and illustrations this time are: Masashi Kishimoto of "NARUTO," Gege Akutami of "Jujutsu Kaisen," Tatsuki Fujimoto of "Chainsaw Man," Sosuke Toka of "Ranking of Kings," and Aneko Yusagi of "The Rising of the Shield Hero." All of them are original creators of anime works for which Director Yamashita has previously worked on opening or ending sequences, and they have sent their support for Director Yamashita's first feature-length work.
