On ABEMA, episode #29 of "Say You To Yo Asobi Tuesday [Hiro Shimono × Miyu Irino]" was broadcast on Tuesday, January 13th at 10 PM.

In this first Tuesday broadcast of the new year, Hiro Shimono shared his New Year's Eve episode from his "first-ever trip to Hawaii" during the year-end and New Year talk. In the segment "We Tried Kakizome for the New Year," the two revealed their respective aspirations. Furthermore, in the regular segment "Aim and Hit It Perfectly! One-Choice Survey," Shimono created the first miracle of the new year, making it a "Yo Asobi" befitting the start of the year.

The program opened with a manzai performance by the comedy duo "Shimono Irino" for some reason. It was their first manzai performance since the beginning of the 2025 season, and when Irino reflected, "It felt more awkward than the first episode," Shimono immediately retorted, "We were much closer in the first episode!" Right from the start of the new year, their perfectly synchronized banter warmed up the studio.

After that, they moved on to year-end and New Year's talk. Shimono reported, "I went to Hawaii for the first time in my life," and revealed that he got excited about Waikiki Beach, which he had longed for as a "classic Hawaiian experience," and Diamond Head seen from the coast. Furthermore, he confessed that he met up with voice actor Yuki Kaji on location and had a meal together. When Shimono consulted Kaji about going to Hawaii, Kaji encouraged him saying, "You better go soon or it'll be bad," and even made restaurant reservations for him. To Shimono, who expressed gratitude saying "He really helped me out," Irino responded with a smile, "That's reassuring! That's great~"

On the other hand, he was apparently overwhelmed by the excitement of the countdown on New Year's Eve. He vividly described the "overseas New Year's Eve experience" of wanting to sleep but being unable to, saying "Outside it was so noisy like 'WOOOH! FUUUU'" and "Even after the countdown fireworks, some instrument I didn't understand kept going 'boo-boo' (lol), and I thought I wouldn't be able to sleep..." Eventually, he drew laughter by lamenting, "I missed the Joya no Kane (New Year's Eve bells)" and "Instead of the Joya no Kane, I was listening to vuvuzelas." Irino also empathized while sharing memories of spending New Year's overseas in the past. The two savored the sentiment of Japanese New Year's together.

■Revealing Aspirations with "Kakizome"! Shimono Declares "Escape from Game Backlog," Irino Says "Reflect on Myself"

Next, they conducted "We Tried Kakizome for the New Year," with the two writing down their aspirations for this year.

What Shimono wrote was "Play Silent Hill." Despite loving games, Shimono revealed that he hasn't been able to make time and his "game backlog" is growing. He confessed that although he purchased the latest entry in the popular horror game "Silent Hill" series, "Silent Hill f," he still hasn't played it. Afterward, he declared, "I'm definitely going to do it this year," and when he said, "Once I start playing, I want to report on X like 'I've started Silent Hill,'" Irino delivered the expected retort, "You sound like you're holding a guitar (lol)" and "♪Silent Hill~ I've started~," wrapping the studio in laughter.

Meanwhile, Irino revealed a surprisingly serious aspiration: "Reflect on myself." He said he had time to think deeply by himself at a hotel at the end of the year, confessing, "In my twenties I was single-mindedly devoted, and in my thirties I threw myself completely into works amidst busyness, but I thought again, 'Am I doing things properly as I am now?'" Approaching 40, in his late thirties, as his mindset and physical condition are changing, Irino said, "I want to face myself once and think about whether this is really okay." Receiving those words, Shimono nodded deeply saying, "There are aspects that change with age," and sent encouragement while incorporating his own experiences: "In your forties, you gain more freedom wanting to 'do more fun things'" and "As a result of reflecting, when you turn 40, there's the possibility you'll change thinking 'I can do this.'"
