[Photos/Images] Revival Screening of "Yōzen," a New Interpretation Anime Film Based on "Hoshin Engi" Announced, with Ae! group's Masaya Sano as Lead Dubbing Actor 1st

The Japanese dubbed version of the full-length animated film "Yōzen," which depicts Yōzen, a character from the masterpiece of Chinese mythology "Hoshin Engi," as the protagonist, has been confirmed for a limited-time revival screening at 10 AEON Cinema locations nationwide starting Friday, February 6th.

This work was produced by Light Chaser Animation, a Chinese animation studio known for "White Snake: Afloat" and other works. Based on an original story that offers a new interpretation of the characters from "Hoshin Engi," the film became a massive hit in China, generating over 10 billion yen in box office revenue, thanks to its beautiful, high-quality graphics and powerful action sequences that captured audiences' attention.

For this revival screening, the Japanese dubbed version released in 2025 will be shown. Masaya Sano of Ae! group voices Yōzen, one of the protagonists and a bounty hunter who has lost his "divine power," while voice actor Toshiki Masuda voices Jinkou, the other protagonist, a boy who stole "divine power."

The screening period is limited to two weeks from February 6th to February 19th, during which "Yōzen" will be shown for a total of 4 days on a limited schedule.
