The latest information about the new animation "Cyborg 009: Nemesis" has been released. Along with this, a teaser PV featuring Cyborg 009, Joe Shimamura, has been made public.

The theme song for this work has been decided as "Taga Tame ni," which is also known as the opening theme for the 1979 TV anime "Cyborg 009." This song, with lyrics written by the original creator Shotaro Ishinomori that chronicle the destiny and determination of the cyborg warriors, will be performed by rock singer Kyoko, who is also active as a member of BARBEE BOYS.

Regarding her selection for this role, Kyoko commented, "This is a work I've been familiar with since childhood, and I'm honored to be involved in this traditional series through song." She expressed her confidence, saying, "It was a nervous recording session, but I believe it has turned into Kyoko's own new version of 'Taga Tame ni.'"

In the released teaser PV, along with a portion of the theme song audio, the visual of Joe Shimamura in this work was revealed for the first time. The footage depicts Joe with sharp eyes, sensing the presence of new enemies.

"Cyborg 009: Nemesis" is scheduled for streaming in 2026.
