The teaser visual, first trailer (PV), Season 2 introduction, and main cast comments have been released for the TV anime From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman II, which is scheduled to begin broadcasting in July 2026.

From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman is a classic "invincible swordsman" fantasy series based on the light novel by Shigeru Sagazaki with illustrations by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima. Including the manga adaptation by Kazuki Sato and two spin-off titles, the series is a major hit with over 9 million copies in circulation.

The first season of the TV anime, based on the original novels, aired from April 2025 across 24 stations nationwide on the TV Asahi "IMAnimation" block, BS Asahi, and AT-X, and was streamed globally exclusively on Prime Video.

The newly released teaser visual, under the catchphrase "Beyond the Peak of Strength—," depicts Beryl Gardenant in a moonlit dojo, wielding a wooden sword with a look of firm determination. It captures the moment he faces off against his father, Moldea Gardenant, who stands in his path. Additionally, the first PV highlights the daily life between Beryl and his devoted disciples, as well as Mewi practicing her swordsmanship, effectively conveying the atmosphere of the second season.

Furthermore, comments have arrived from the main cast, who recently finished the voice recording for Season 2. The second season promises deeper human drama and psychological portrayals of parent-child and master-disciple relationships, showcasing significant character growth.
