[Photos/Images] A Solitary Warrior Becomes a Laundry Master? Vegeta's Ultra-Rare Shot Has Fans Saying "Hard to Believe This Is the Same Character Who Tried to Destroy Earth" 1st

The official Dragon Ball X account released an image on February 2nd in celebration of "Couples Day," and the unexpected side shown by popular character Vegeta (CV: Ryo Horikawa) has become a major topic of conversation.

The released image is a single illustration posted with the hashtag "#CouplesDay." It depicts Vegeta moving his hands at lightning speed in front of a massive pile of laundry. While muttering serious monologues like "Move before thinking..." and "Let the body react on its own..." as if applying the advanced combat technique "Ultra Instinct" to housework, he's folding towels with tremendous intensity. Standing beside him is his pregnant wife Bulma (CV: Aya Hisakawa), her belly visibly enlarged, looking on with a puzzled "?" expression at her husband's unusual fervor. The scene humorously portrays how the Saiyan prince who was once a threat to Earth now diligently devotes himself to household chores at home.

Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama is a globally renowned action manga that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha). The story follows protagonist Son Goku (CV: Masako Nozawa) and others as they engage in fierce battles with powerful enemies over the seven mystical treasures that can grant any wish when collected. Currently, the official sequel Dragon Ball Super, with Toriyama as original creator and Toyotarou as artist, is being serialized in V Jump. Furthermore, future developments are planned, including the anime Dragon Ball Super: Beerus scheduled to air in fall 2026, and the confirmed production of Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol.

This post has received numerous reactions from fans. Comments have poured in, including heartwarming observations of Vegeta's mellowed devoted-husband side, such as "He's completely under her thumb and I love it" and "Vegeta is such a devoted husband," as well as remarks enjoying the gap between his past self and treating housework like training, such as "Hard to believe this is the same character who tried to destroy Earth" and "Just like Master Roshi's training methods."
