Fans Delighted as "Munching Cuteness" Comments Pour In! DANDADAN's Turbo Granny Setsubun Illustration Released, Warming Fans' Hearts

The official DANDADAN TV anime X account released an image related to Setsubun on February 3rd, sparking major buzz among fans.

The post was updated with the question "What day is it today for Turbo Granny?" along with alien and yokai emojis. It revealed that it was "Setsubun Day," suggested the lucky direction by noting "this year it's south-southeast," and called out with humor about the proper etiquette for eating ehomaki, saying "*Don't forget to make a wish in silence."

The image released alongside the post features Turbo Granny (CV: Mayumi Tanaka). She is depicted with a blue oni mask perched cutely on her head, holding and munching on an extra-thick ehomaki roll that is larger than her own mouth. The speech bubble shows "..." representing silence, and her surreal yet adorable appearance of eating while making a wish in silence, just as the post's note instructed, can be confirmed. At her feet, the date "Setsubun 2/3" is also written in brush calligraphy.

DANDADAN is an anime adaptation of a popular manga currently serialized on Shonen Jump+ (Shueisha) by Yukinobu Tatsu. It is an occult battle and coming-of-age story where Momo, also known as Ayase Momo (CV: Shion Wakayama), a high school girl born into a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate and occult enthusiast Okarun, also known as Takakura Ken (CV: Natsuki Hanae), encounter incomprehensible paranormal phenomena at a location they visit to make each other believe in the existence of "ghosts" and "aliens," which they respectively deny.
