[Photos/Images] "That's Not Just the Power of Beans lol" "What Speed!" Fans Rejoice Over Lycoris Recoil Bean-Throwing Video Featuring Takina Throwing Beans & Chisato's Divine Evasion 1st

A special video content timed for Setsubun was released on the official X account (Café LycoReco account) of the anime Lycoris Recoil. The post, depicting the main characters enjoying Setsubun, immediately became a hot topic and garnered significant reactions from fans.

The released video is themed around "mamemaki," a Setsubun ritual. In what appears to be the interior of Café LycoReco, it's a roughly 5-second clip of Inoue Takina (CV: Shion Wakayama) throwing beans with full force at Nishikigi Chisato (CV: Chika Anzai), who is wearing demon horns. Takina is throwing beans from off-screen with tremendous momentum, at a speed so sharp that afterimages can almost be seen. Chisato, who has beans thrown at her, appears surprised yet magnificently dodges them, capturing a moment that demonstrates both characters' exceptional physical abilities.

The video also includes character voices, resulting in a dynamic presentation. Imigimuru, who is in charge of character design, also reacted saying "Animation is here!!!"

Lycoris Recoil is an original TV animation that aired in 2022. It depicts the exploits of girls called "Lycoris," who are agents of the secret organization "DA (Direct Attack)" that prevents crimes before they happen. The buddy duo of the optimistic Chisato, praised as the strongest Lycoris in history, and the cool, efficiency-focused Takina, who deepen their bond through daily life at Café LycoReco and numerous incidents, gained popularity and continues to receive strong support even after the broadcast ended.

In response to this post, voices on SNS flooded in commenting on Takina's overly intense throwing: "What kind of power does Takina's bean throw have?" "What speed!" "That's not the power of beans" "Power power lol." Regarding Chisato's evasion ability, there were also comments of understanding such as "There's no way you can hit Chisato... she'll dodge everything..."
