[Photos/Images] Overwhelming Response to Baby Himmel's "Goo-goo"! Voice Actor Nobuhiko Okamoto's Passionate Performance in "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Mini Anime Praised as "Precious" 1st

TOHO animation Channel released the 19th episode "Magic That Returns You to Childhood" of the mini anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End ●● Magic" on YouTube on February 2nd, sparking significant buzz.

The newly released episode depicted the hero Himmel repeatedly changing poses to create a bronze statue of himself. As always, unable to settle on a pose and troubling the craftsman, Frieren asks her childhood friend Heiter with an exasperated expression, "Has he been like this since he was a child?" To which he replies, "I don't think he was like this when he was really small..."

So they try using "magic that returns you to childhood" to revert Himmel's mind back to when he was a baby, but even while saying "Goo-goo, goo-goo," Himmel continued to strike poses with a sharp expression. The content drew laughter with his innocent appearance yet unwavering narcissistic behavior.

In response to this post, fans shared various reactions such as "Himmel being a born narcissist is so cute," "It's precious to hear Nobuhiko Okamoto-san's goo-goo," "Himmel has been Himmel from the moment he was born," "The craftsman is the most pitiful one in this story...," and "The most popular narcissist in anime history."

The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the manga of the same name serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday," written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. Set in a world "after" the Demon King's defeat, it depicts the story of Frieren, a mage who has lived for over 1000 years, embarking on a "journey to understand people." The original comic has won numerous manga awards. Furthermore, the first season of the TV anime began airing in 2023 and continues to gain many fans both domestically and internationally.
