The teaser PV for TV anime "Rent-A-Girlfriend" Season 5, which will begin broadcasting in April 2026 on the "Animeism" time slot and other channels, has been released. Along with this, information about the artists for the opening theme and ending theme has also been unveiled.
"Rent-A-Girlfriend" is based on the popular manga by Reiji Miyajima, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha). Anime Season 2 aired from July 2022, Season 3 from July 2023, and Season 4 from July 2025. Currently, the official TV anime X account has surpassed 360,000 followers, and the original manga has exceeded 15 million copies in worldwide cumulative circulation, making it an extremely popular romantic comedy work.
The released teaser PV starts with a monologue from the protagonist, Kazuya Kinoshita. Along with a caption suggesting the conclusion of the Hawaiians arc, serious scenes featuring Mami Nanami, Ruka Sarashina, and Chizuru Mizuhara unfold. Near the end of the footage, there is also a scene showing Kazuya and Chizuru drawing closer together, creating content that hints at the progression of the story.
The opening theme for Season 5 has been decided to be "Non-Scenario Etude" by Sora Amamiya, who voices the heroine Chizuru Mizuhara. Amamiya herself wrote the lyrics and composed the music for this song. Additionally, the ending theme has been decided to be "Room 204" by the live band nakigoto, and comments have been released.
[Sora Amamiya Comment]
I'm so happy that "Rent-A-Girlfriend" is the first tie-up work for a song I wrote and composed myself!! I wrote the lyrics while repeatedly reading KanoKari and set them to an upbeat song, so I'd be happy if you look forward to the OP too!

I think the desire to protect someone is something very precious. When you think of "protecting," it's easy to imagine not wanting them to cry or get hurt, but I think wanting them to smile is also part of that desire to protect. This is a work that made me realize that wanting to protect someone might be the greatest form of love. I'm looking forward to the broadcast of the new season!
