Haruka Shiraishi Reveals the Secret to Screaming Performance in 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess' is "Sizzling Sensation"? Live Demonstration on 'Shibuani'

On January 30th at 9:00 PM, 'SHIBUYA ANIME BASE (#Shibuani)' #74 was broadcast live on the "ABEMA Anime Channel." This episode welcomed voice actress Haruka Shiraishi as a guest and delivered information about new anime.

First, the show introduced Season 2 of 'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess,' in which Shiraishi plays the role of the Princess, who is both a princess and a knight commander. This series is a gentle torture anime that depicts the Princess being tormented by a series of "overly sweet tortures," such as ramen when she's hungry and head spa treatments.

During the program, Shiraishi provided live commentary on the appeal of the series. When MC Yuki Iwai from Haraichi asked, "Aren't you overworking your throat during the dubbing sessions?" Shiraishi replied, "I use it quite a bit... However, my only strength as a voice actress is that I have a strong throat." In response, fellow voice actor Shugo Nakamura immediately followed up with, "It's not just your throat, you're a wonderful voice actress." Furthermore, Shiraishi revealed her professional dedication by stating, "I was screaming at full force from the test sessions for Season 2 as well."

The Princess has screamed a total of 31 times from Season 1 until she succumbed to the torture (according to the program's research). The variety of screams that Shiraishi performs is one of the appeals of this work. In the studio, a quiz was presented: "Which torture scene do the screams about to be played belong to—ramen, raclette cheese, or polar bear? And Shiraishi-san will perform that scream live."

After hearing Shiraishi's live scream, everyone found themselves in a difficult situation, saying, "Wow... this is tough..." After careful consideration, Nakamura predicted it was "raclette cheese" because he "felt the stretch of cheese." Iwai and Sora Tokui also chose "raclette cheese," making it a unanimous decision.

However, the correct answer was "polar bear." To everyone's surprise at the unexpected result, Shiraishi revealed her extraordinary dedication to her acting, saying, "What I want you to pay attention to is whether there's a 'sizzling sensation' or not" and "For screams related to delicious food, I perform them as if drool is slightly dripping."
