On ABEMA, the special program "TV Anime 'Vigilante' Season 2 'Aizawa Student Arc' Retrospective SP Special" will be broadcast exclusively for free from 8:30 PM on Saturday, February 28th.
"Vigilante -My Hero Academia ILLEGALS-" (hereafter "Vigilante") is based on the manga of the same name, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, which is being serialized as an official spinoff series of the hugely popular hero battle action "My Hero Academia" by Kōhei Horikoshi. Set several years before the main story, it depicts the lives of heroes called "Vigilantes" who operate illegally. The series was adapted into a TV anime in April 2025, and Season 2 has been airing since January 2026.
The special program will feature three main cast members from the "Aizawa Student Arc" depicted in Season 2: Junichi Suwabe (playing Shōta Aizawa [Eraser Head]), Kenshō Ono (playing Oboro Shirakumo [Loud Cloud]), and Hiroyuki Yoshino (playing Hizashi Yamada [Present Mic]). The program is planned to look back on the "Aizawa Student Arc," which centers on these three characters who are classmates at U.A. High School, incorporating digest footage and behind-the-scenes stories from the recording sessions. Shōhei Taguchi will serve as MC.
Additionally, immediately before the special program on the same day, Saturday, February 28th, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, a marathon retrospective broadcast of Season 2 (episodes #14-21) will be conducted on the ABEMA Anime Channel. This broadcast will also be available for free viewing for one week after it ends.
