What Is the Story of the "Culling Game"?

The "Culling Game" is the arc that takes place immediately after the "Shibuya Incident" depicted in Season 2 of the anime. The Culling Game refers to the "death match to deepen the understanding of cursed energy" that was described in Episode 47 by Noritoshi Kamo (Kenjaku), the sorcerer who took over Suguru Geto's body.

Through the Idle Transfiguration remotely triggered by Kenjaku, the brains of non-sorcerers were altered into those of sorcerers, dragging many ordinary civilians into the Culling Game. Among them was Tsumiki, the older sister of Megumi Fushiguro. Yuji Itadori and his allies fight alongside their friends to help the trapped civilians escape the Culling Game and to break the seal on Satoru Gojo, who was sealed during the Shibuya Incident.

Who Are the Voice Actors and Staff for Season 4?

At this time, there have been no announcements regarding the voice cast for Season 4 "The Culling Game Part 2."

However, it is rare for voice actors to be replaced in recent TV anime sequels. Furthermore, since Season 4 is the second part of a two-part arc, it is highly likely that there will be no cast changes and the voice actors from Season 3 will reprise their roles.

What Is the Story of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" Anime?

The "Jujutsu Kaisen" anime consists of both a TV series and theatrical movies. In order of production, Season 1 of the TV anime aired a total of 24 episodes starting in October 2020, followed by the theatrical release of "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" on December 24, 2021, and Season 2 of the TV anime aired a total of 23 episodes starting in July 2023. TV Anime Season 1

The first season covered the "Fearsome Womb" and "Young Fish and Reverse Punishment" arcs in its first cour, and the "Kyoto Sister School Exchange Event" and "The Death Painting" arcs in its second cour. The story began when Yuji swallowed a special-grade cursed object, "Ryomen Sukuna's Finger," to save his friends from being attacked by a curse, thereby taking Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, into his own body.

Deciding to use the cursed energy within him to save people, Yuji transferred to Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School (Jujutsu High) to learn how to handle it. While fighting curses alongside his companions, he gained strength and grew enough to defeat the materialized vessels of the special-grade cursed object "Cursed Womb: Death Paintings."

"Jujutsu Kaisen 0"

Released on December 24, 2021, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" adapts the manga "Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Koutou Senmon Gakkou," which serves as a prequel to "Jujutsu Kaisen."

The protagonist, Yuta Okkotsu, suffers from the curse of his childhood friend Rika Orimoto, who became a vengeful spirit after a fatal accident. Under the guidance of Satoru Gojo, Yuta is taken into Jujutsu High. After meeting classmates like Maki Zenin, Yuta resolves to break Rika's curse and stands up to prevent the "Night Parade of a Hundred Demons" plotted by Suguru Geto.

TV Anime Season 2

Airing for a total of 5 episodes from July 6 to August 3, 2023, the "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" arc of Season 2 depicts the high school days of Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, and Suguru Geto, who appeared as an enemy in Season 1. Gojo and Geto were assigned to "protect" and "erase" Riko Amanai, the "Star Plasma Vessel" compatible with Tengen, a cornerstone of the Jujutsu world, per Tengen's request. The arc portrays the past of these two men whose paths diverged following the fate that befell Riko.

Special recap programs (Parts 1 and 2) aired over two weeks on August 10 and August 17, 2023. Part 1 re-edited Episodes 1 to 5 of "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" and footage from "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," while Part 2 reconstructed scenes from Season 1 of the TV series, both featuring newly added narration.

Afterward, the "Shibuya Incident" arc aired for a total of 18 episodes from August 31 to December 28, 2023. Geto and the curses cast a curtain over Shibuya, which was bustling with Halloween crowds, trapping a large number of civilians and instigating an unprecedented act of jujutsu terrorism. Their goal was to seal Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of the modern era. Due to the rampaging curses and the battle involving a temporarily resurrected Ryomen Sukuna, Tokyo was left virtually devastated. Fellow sorcerers fell one after another, and the worst-case scenario closed in on Yuji and his friends.
