That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea Reveals 12 New Stills Featuring Priestess Yura and Minister Zodon & Merchandise Information Released

Twelve new stills capturing thrilling action scenes and the lineup of original theatrical merchandise have been released for the anime film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea, which will be released nationwide on Friday, February 27, 2026.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a work of the same name by Taiki Kawakami, Fuse, and Mitz Vah, with the series' cumulative circulation surpassing 56 million copies worldwide. The anime's cumulative view count has exceeded 3 billion views, and it has also recorded 1 billion page views on Shosetsuka ni Narou, maintaining high popularity over many years.

This film is a completely original story following the first theatrical release, with original author Fuse handling the original concept and complete supervision. The director is Yasuhito Kikuchi, who worked on Macross F and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond. Set on the "sea" for the first time in the series, the story depicts Rimuru and his companions getting caught up in new adventures and conspiracies.

The newly released stills primarily feature tense scenes showing the protagonist Rimuru (CV: Miho Okasaki) and his companions enjoying a vacation on a resort island, before suddenly being drawn into conspiracies swirling beneath the sea. The images reveal Gobta (CV: Asuna Tomari) engaging in dynamic action with an unusual expression, priestess Yura (CV: Saori Ōnishi) of the Kaien Kingdom confronting Rimuru and his companions, and the ominous expression of Minister Zodon (CV: Koichi Domoto) heading to the surface under orders from Prime Minister Djeese (CV: Kōji Yusa).

Additionally, information about the original theatrical merchandise (25 items in total) to be sold at screening theaters from Friday, February 27 has been released. Items with resort-inspired designs, such as pamphlets and acrylic stands, will be available. The pamphlet will also be available for online purchase through A-on STORE from 12:00 PM on the same day.
