Producer Yuki Kaji Discusses His Passion for the Voice AI Project "Soyogi Fractal"
This broadcast delivered a night of fun with Kaji, who has deep friendships with Hiro Shimono and Miyu Irino. In the opening, Shimono's recent story about "having his bag left open today and being called out by people on the street" sparked a lively conversation among the three, with comments like "I get it! That happens!" and "That might be a superstar thing, right?" When Shimono and Irino said, "There are three superstars here right now" and "We're three superstars," Kaji immediately retorted, "That's so lame. What's a superstar? Does it mean idiot?" displaying their close friendship through their banter.
Once the studio warmed up, the program introduced the 3D LIVE "Soyogi EXPO," scheduled for March 8th as the culmination of the voice AI project "Soyogi Fractal" based on Kaji's voice. Kaji, as the producer, shared his thoughts and the behind-the-scenes preparation process.
Kaji, who had secured the venue about a year ago and had been advancing album production and song preparation, confessed his current feelings: "Thinking it's only one month away, I'm filled with both nervousness and excitement." When Kaji expressed gratitude for receiving cooperation from many people, Irino commented, "I feel like it's a mass of everyone's love for Kaji-kun," and Shimono also showed his admiration for Kaji's influence, saying, "When Kaji-kun says that much, people naturally gather around him. It's really amazing."
They also discussed the song "Denpa Jack" provided by Shimono, which would be performed at the EXPO. Shimono, for whom creating a song from scratch was a first-time challenge, was asked about the feelings he put into the song and bashfully revealed the production story: "First of all, I wanted to include a phrase that was used in the radio show I did together with Kaji-kun, and I built it from there as a base." "From there, I just wanted Kaji-kun to enjoy it. I went all out to the point where Kaji-kun would think 'Shimono's such an idiot.'" Kaji also expressed his gratitude with a smile, saying, "Reading the lyrics, I could tell you made it with your heart," and "You ran around and worked so hard for me. You're such a good guy," creating an emotional moment that revealed their long-standing relationship.
