The official Neon Genesis Evangelion announced that a massive mural completed by animator Mahiro Maeda through three days of live drawing at the festival "EVANGELION:30+; 30th ANNIVERSARY OF EVANGELION" commemorating the 30th anniversary of 'Eva' has been unveiled and is generating buzz.

On the final day of the festival, along with announcing the conclusion of the exhibition area "EVA EXTRA 30," photos of the work completed by Maeda over three days were released, expressing gratitude to visitors. Additionally, a message from Maeda was shared, announcing that the official title of the mural is "Children."

In the released images, powerful art spanning three panels expressed in delicate line drawings against a vivid yellow background can be seen. The central panel depicts Shinji Ikari (CV: Megumi Ogata) and Asuka Langley Sohryu (CV: Yūko Miyamura) overlapping as they hold both hands, blushing and exchanging glances. Furthermore, the left panel also features Rei Ayanami (CV: Megumi Hayashibara) and Kaworu Nagisa (CV: Akira Ishida), creating a mural that vividly conveys the rich expressions and relationships of the pilots.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is an anime series that began broadcasting in October 1995. It centers on the battles between the versatile humanoid decisive weapon artificial humans "Evangelion," the 14-year-old boys and girls who become their pilots, and the mysterious enemy life forms "Angels."
