The original manga began its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in 1980 as 3-Nen Kimengumi. It became a massive hit with a concept that was groundbreaking for its time: the title changed to High School! Kimengumi as the characters advanced to high school. Furthermore, a TV anime adaptation premiered in 1985, sparking a major cultural phenomenon. The series is currently airing every Friday at 23:30 (11:30 PM) on the Fuji TV network’s "noitaminA" block across Japan.

【Synopsis】
"Seaside Chase"
Yui and the girls have arrived at the beach! It seems the "Ude-gumi" (the Athletic Group), led by Kai Undo, are also there working part-time as lifeguards. Suddenly, out of nowhere, "J*ws" and a "Sea Monk" (Umibozu) appear!? Of course, there’s no doubt that our very own "Kimengumi" (the Funny-face Group) is behind all this nonsense.

The "Kimengumi" are having a blast at the fireworks festival! Of course, asking them "not to get too carried away" is simply out of the question. However, Go says he can't join them because he has to help out at home that day.
