The anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has surpassed 150 million copies in total circulation. The story begins when Itadori shares his body with the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna, and transfers to Tokyo Jujutsu High, an institution specializing in curses. The original manga concluded in 2024, and since September 2025, a spin-off titled "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)" with the original story by Akutami and artwork by Yuji Iwasaki has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha).
