Movie "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea" - The Bond Between Gobta and Priestess Yura, and a Shocking Development... Breathtaking Main Story Footage & Scene Cuts Released

"That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea" was released nationwide on Friday, February 27th. In conjunction with the release, main story footage and scene cuts showcasing stunning visual beauty and breathless developments have been unveiled.

Set in the underwater kingdom of Kaien, which worships water dragons as guardian deities, this film is created under the original concept and complete supervision of original author Fuse. In this kingdom, which had been considered peaceful, a conspiracy begins to unfold, and priestess Yura heads to the surface with a "flute" passed down through her clan.

The newly released main story footage captures scenes that convey the bond between Yura and series regular character Gobta. Having escaped from pursuers, the two gaze at the beautiful magic hour evening sky from an observation deck on a resort island, and Gobta says, "When I looked up, it was this amazing! That means I've become an even bigger man, right!" The scene depicts them sharing an irreplaceable, peaceful moment together, even as Gobta jokes around.

However, pursuers sent by Zodon, a minister of Kaien who is orchestrating the conspiracy, close in on the two. Attempting to escape from Zodon's forces who are trying to reclaim the "flute" (Dragon Fang) that can connect hearts with water dragons—which Yura had taken with her—Yura climbs the outer wall of the observation deck but falls, leaving the flute behind. To protect Yura, Gobta jumps after her without hesitation and desperately reaches out his hand, but... The breathtaking, tense development will further heighten expectations for the main story.
