——What inspired you to cosplay as Asuka from Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash! this time?

Ringo Rinkai (Titles omitted below): I was tidying up some old games and started messing around with my 3DS, which reignited my passion. I realized there was so much more to Asuka’s charm that I hadn't noticed back then. I’d actually cosplayed her once before, but I really wanted to give it another shot, so I decided to bring her to Ike-Halo!

——What were the key points you wanted to express with this cosplay, and which parts are your personal favorites?

Ringo Rinkai: The risky skirt length and those curvy thighs!

——When and how did you first discover Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash!, and what do you find most appealing about the series?

Ringo Rinkai: I first discovered Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash! back in 6th grade when I happened to see an episode that had been recorded by chance. Since then, I’ve been a huge fan of both the anime and the games. It’s no exaggeration to say that every gaming console I own was purchased specifically to play Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash!.

 The real appeal lies in the fiery story! It’s about young, immature girls who carry the heavy destiny of a shinobi—making difficult choices and struggling with their paths, yet forced to grow and keep moving forward. Personally, I absolutely love those moments when a girl burdened with an extraordinary fate wonders, "What if I were just a normal girl...?" That internal conflict in Senran Kagura: Ninja Flash! really struck a chord with me!

At first, I was drawn to the fanservice—seeing the "boobs" pop out in 3D and the costumes tearing apart when taking damage. But as I dove deeper into the game, I was genuinely moved by its classic, high-octane story of youth and passion.
