The official Jujutsu Kaisen X account has released bonus information to commemorate the release of the manga 'Jujutsu Kaisen≡ (Modulo)' Volume 2, which goes on sale on March 4th. The "back side" visual of the original mini illustration card themed around the important episode "Shinjuku Showdown" has been revealed for the first time, and its overwhelming quality has become a major topic of discussion among fans.
In the revealed images, Gojo Satoru (CV: Yuichi Nakamura) and Ryomen Sukuna (CV: Junichi Suwabe), who compete for the title of strongest in the series, are respectively depicted. Gojo is shown with a concentrated expression forming hand seals, with strong will dwelling in his eyes. In contrast, Sukuna is characterized by an intimidating composition, wearing a fearless smile while reaching his hand toward the viewer. The back design is an original illustration by Gege Akutami, while the front is an original illustration by Yuji Iwasaki.
In response to this post, fans have been praising the overwhelming quality with comments such as "Artistic... beautiful" and "Too beautiful." In addition to enthusiastic comments like "Instantly decided to purchase" and "I absolutely need this!", users declaring multiple purchases including copies for preservation are appearing one after another, saying "I want both so I'll buy 2 copies!", promising even more excitement leading up to the release.
'Jujutsu Kaisen≡' is a near-future spinoff work set in the year 2086, 68 years after the "Culling Game" from the main Jujutsu Kaisen series. It began serialization in 2025 issue 41, with Akutami as the original creator and Iwasaki handling the artwork. The story depicts the battle between extraterrestrial life forms "Simullians" and Japanese jujutsu sorcerers (the Okkotsu Tsurugi and Yuka siblings).
