The synopsis, scene cuts, and promotional CM for Episode 1 of the anime "Classroom of the Elite: Year 2, 4th Season, First Semester" have been released. Additionally, at the KADOKAWA booth at "AnimeJapan 2026," which will be held from March 28th, distribution of stickers featuring new first-year students and sales of new illustrated goods have been confirmed.
This work is an anime adaptation based on the popular light novel by Syougo Kinugasa, which has surpassed 11.1 million copies in cumulative circulation. Set in "Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School," a preparatory school that upholds thorough meritocracy where only the excellent receive preferential treatment, the story depicts the protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokōji, who is assigned to the bottom-tier Class 1-D full of problem students, battling against the school's social system alongside his classmate Suzune Horikita and others as they aim for the highest-ranking Class A.
At the KADOKAWA booth (East Hall 6, J-52) at "AnimeJapan 2026," which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th, stickers featuring six first-year student characters appearing from the 4th season will be distributed. Additionally, new merchandise using newly drawn illustrations in the "FANTASY FOREST ver." will also be sold.
The lineup includes can badges and bromide sets, as well as acrylic stand figures of Kiyotaka Ayanokōji and Tsubasa Nanase. Furthermore, pre-orders for some of these products will begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4th at the official online shop "Kadosto." This is must-check content for fans who cannot visit the venue.

Ayanokōji and his classmates, having advanced to their second year, start once again from Class D. With the new academic year, the school introduces an app called OAA that allows all students to view their numerically quantified abilities. The first special exam for second-year students is announced to be a written test where first-year and second-year students form partnerships based on OAA references.
