![[Photos/Images] Fans Stunned: "What Asteroid Is That?!" Official "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway" Releases Mecha Art Visual Fully Recreating "Char's Counterattack" 1st](https://times-abema.ismcdn.jp/mwimgs/7/e/724w/img_7e3cb66834b2e70162a27ad65f0c93e7603676.jpg)
For a limited three days from Friday, March 13th to Sunday, March 15th, a simultaneous screening of "Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe × Char's Counterattack" has been confirmed at 10 theaters nationwide. To commemorate this, a "Mecha Art Visual" newly illustrated by CG Director Takayuki Masuo, released on the official X account, is generating buzz.
"Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway" is a work that depicts the battle of Hathaway Noa (CV: Kenshō Ono), who became the leader of the anti-Earth Federation government movement "Mafty," set in the world after "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," which portrayed the final showdown between Amuro Ray and Char Aznable.
The newly released visual expresses the famous confrontation between Nu Gundam and Sazabi depicted in the "Char's Counterattack" poster with this work's Xi Gundam and Mass Production Type Nu Gundam.
The released image faithfully recreates the original composition, with Xi Gundam wielding a beam saber in the foreground, and Mass Production Type Nu Gundam deploying INCOMs instead of funnels in the background. Furthermore, the asteroid Axis floating in the background has been replaced with a giant red-tinged rock formation (Ayers Rock), resulting in a finish where the meticulously crafted paired structure is eye-catching.
In response to this post, voices on SNS include "It's cool but Hathaway is being cornered even more," "I thought 'what asteroid is that' but it's Ayers Rock," "Uluru is portrayed as a counterpart to Axis," and "You can't tell which side is the enemy with this."
