"He Can Only Be Called a Perverted Priest Now" — Shocking NG Take from Dubbing Session Goes Viral, Officially Released by Anime "Sentenced to Be a Hero"

A video recording of NG scenes from Episode 8's dubbing session has been released on the official X account of "Sentenced to Be a Hero: Penal Hero Squad 9004 Prison Records," sparking conversation among fans.

The released video captures the dubbing session for Episode 8, structured as a comparison with the first half showing the OK take actually used in the broadcast, and the second half featuring the now-famous NG take. It begins with a serious scene where protagonist Xylo Forbartz (CV: Yōhei Azakami) requests permission to speak before the high priest.

However, in the latter half of the video, Azakami brilliantly flubs the line that should have been "in front of an important person like you (erai hito)," instead saying "perverted (eroi)... in front of an important person." The mistaken word was emphasized on screen with large red text outlined in white. In response to this sudden mistake, the cast member playing the high priest also muttered "perverted... (lol)" while trying to suppress laughter, continuing the performance with "that's a challenging yet atmosphere-lightening way of putting it..."
