On the official X account of Someone Hertz [Official], a limited edition illustration card for volume 2 of the manga "Someone Hertz," released on March 4th, has been revealed and is generating buzz. The illustration is a collaboration with "Jujutsu Kaisen≡ (Modulo)," which is also serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump, featuring the shikigami "Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga (Yatsuka-no-Tsurugi Ikaishinshō Makora)" alongside the protagonists of "Someone Hertz," Fukumori Mimei and Mizuo Kurage.
In the revealed image, the muscular Mahoraga is walking between Mimei and Kurage, who are wearing their school uniforms. Kurage innocently remarks, "If I married Mahoraga, the character stroke count would be really good! Yatsuka-no-Tsurugi Ikaishinshō Kurage," to which Mimei retorts, "That's where you're judging the surname?" Furthermore, in the lower panel, seemingly in response to Kurage's words, the dharma wheel above Mahoraga's head spins with sounds like "Gigigigi..." and "Gakon," while Mimei, breaking out in a cold sweat, attempts to stop it saying, "No, you don't need to adapt to that..." This scene is depicted in a comical manner.
In response to this post, fans have shared their joy and admiration with comments such as "Yatsuka-no-Tsurugi Ikaishinshō Ma-Kurage, that's definitely cool," "Yamano-sensei's illustration is too cool, I absolutely want this together with volume 2," "Mahoraga being too cute is hilarious," and "I laughed so hard it's almost frustrating."
"Someone Hertz" is a youth radio love comedy created by Yamano Ei. The story follows Mimei, a serious student council president, and Kurage, an easy-going classmate, as they deepen their friendship through their common hobby of "late-night radio." After discovering that Kurage's true identity is a famous postcard contributor, Mimei challenges herself to submit comedy emails, refusing to lose to her, depicting how they improve together as listener friends and rivals.
