On ABEMA, the special program "It's Not Too Late! TV Anime 'Kunon the Sorcerer Can See' Special" was exclusively broadcast for free on February 22nd.

"Kunon the Sorcerer Can See" is a fantasy work about Kunon, a genius sorcerer who, despite being born blind, mastered sorcery in just five months, and carves out his path through the world toward his goal of "definitely creating eyes through sorcery." The program featured Saori Hayami, who plays the protagonist Kunon Gurion, and Akari Kitō, who plays Mirika Huguria. The "fiancée duo" looked back on memorable scenes while discussing the appeal of the characters and behind-the-scenes recording stories, and also participated in variety show segments.

■Saori Hayami Discusses Kunon's Humor and Growth

The program first played back the story so far. Regarding this work, Hayami appealed to the comical aspects of the story, in which Kunon grows as a genius sorcerer while also growing as a gentleman full of humor. While introducing Kunon as "a genius sorcery boy who was initially shy but blossoms more and more with his growth," she also touched on how he acquires a somewhat unique sense of humor by earnestly practicing the teachings of being a "gentleman" imparted by his maid Iko, drawing laughter from the studio by saying, "Kunon continues jokes that go way beyond running gags, and he's acquiring a gentlemanly image in the wrong direction..."

The digest VTR summarizing memorable scenes so far also introduced the scene from Episode 7 where he finally created his sorcery eyeball, the "mirror eye." From the moving scene where Kunon "sees" the outside scenery for the first time, the program took a turn to show a development full of the work's characteristic humor, with strange sights that only Kunon could see, such as Mirika with feathers stuck in her and his master Zeonly Finroll glowing for some reason, immediately engulfing the studio in laughter. They also looked back on other important scenes up to Episode 8, such as his departure for the magic school and parting with Iko, and delved deeper into the appeal of this work where humor and mysteriousness coexist.

The two also discussed future highlights. Hayami said, "Kunon will be actively performing brilliantly in various fields, so it's a work you can enjoy no matter when you watch it," and commented, "From here on, we'll move to new fields again, new characters will appear, and it will become even more lively. Please look forward to it!" Kitō also called out to viewers, saying, "I think it's a work that feels good to watch, with the way Kunon gets everyone involved and his growth," and "I'd be happy if you'd watch over what happens between Kunon and Mirika."
