[Photos/Images] "There She Is, Suya-risu the Sleeper!" Fans Get Fired Up Remembering Past Parody! Illustration of Frieren and Princess Syalis from "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Released 1st

An illustration created by Kagiji Kumanomata, the author of "Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle," was released on the official X account of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," causing quite a stir.

The released illustration is a charming piece depicting Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki) holding a large staff and casting a slightly downward gaze, rendered in Kumanomata's distinctive style. Furthermore, behind Frieren, Princess Syalis (CV: Inori Minase), the protagonist of "Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle," is depicted making a V-sign, creating a long-awaited (?) collaboration that brings to mind the parody "Suya-risu the Sleeper" featured in the series in the past.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga by Kanehito Yamada (original story) and Tsukasa Abe (artwork), an "epilogue fantasy" work that depicts what happens after the hero's party defeats the Demon King. Meanwhile, "Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle" is a comedy manga by Kagiji Kumanomata that has gained popularity by depicting Princess Syalis, a human kidnapped by the Demon King, doing as she pleases in the Demon Castle in pursuit of a good night's sleep.

In response to this post, fans flooded the comments with reactions celebrating Princess Syalis's appearance and witty remarks about the unique naming, such as "I love Kumanomata-sensei's illustrations lol," "There she is, Suya-risu the Sleeper," and "Suya-risu the Sleeper is so cute..." Additionally, numerous comments of praise and gratitude for this spectacular collaborative illustration were posted, including "This is the best! A collaboration between my favorite manga and my favorite manga," "As expected of Kumanomata-sensei!! So well-drawn!!" and "Thank you for the color illustration."
