[Photos/Images] Despite Her Beautiful Appearance and Voice... An Illustration of Methode's Ecstatic Expression from "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Becomes a Hot Topic 1st

An ED card-style illustration was released on the official X account for the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" to coincide with the broadcast of Season 2 Episode 35 "Revolte of Divine Skill," and it has become a major topic among fans.

In the episode, a scene was depicted where the mage Methode (CV: Reina Ueda), while maintaining her usual serious expression, suddenly says, "Frieren-san. May I pat-pat you?" After patting Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki), Methode pleaded, "May I give you a little squeeze? Serie-sama wouldn't let me do it." When Frieren gave her permission, saying, "You can do whatever you want now," Methode's excitement rose as she exclaimed, "I can do whatever I want!?" and hugged her with a completely satisfied expression.

The released ED card-style illustration was drawn by animator Keisuke Kojima. In the center of the illustration, Methode is prominently featured with both hands on her cheeks, displaying a blissful, melting expression. On the right side is Serie, whose head is being patted, frowning with displeasure and looking away. On the left side is Frieren, being patted with a calm expression, creating a piece that expresses Methode's obsession with "pat-pat" in the story and her unique character traits.

In response to this post, fans flooded in with comments poking fun at the situations in the show, such as "Methode-san, moments of bliss lol," "Serie looks super annoyed lol," "Serie is okay with it for up to 10 minutes a day lololol," and "The person who makes Serie afraid (lol)." Furthermore, voices praising Methode's unexpected side and intense character were received, including "This time was Methode-san's show. I never expected Methode-san to be in the hilarious woman category," "Despite being a beautiful lady with an incredibly attractive appearance and voice, she's absolutely outrageous and funny," and "Methode might become a legend for having patted these two."
