[Photos/Images] "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡" Concludes: Fans Mourn the Return of "Jujutsu Loss," Crying "They Could've Gone for Three More Years!" Artist Yuji Iwasaki Releases Heartwarming Illustration of the Four Leads 1st

Yuji Iwasaki, the artist behind "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)," has sparked a massive reaction on X (formerly Twitter) after posting a farewell message and a special illustration to mark the series' final chapter.

On X, Iwasaki shared: "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo) reaches its final chapter this week! There was certainly pressure, but it’s such a wonderful story that I was able to enjoy drawing it right until the very end! Since the storyboards were by Akutami-sensei, it goes without saying that it’s interesting, but I am incredibly grateful to all the readers who accepted my art and followed along! Thank you so much!"

The accompanying image features Maru, Cross, Tsurugi, and Yuka lying on their backs in a circle, facing outwards and holding hands, captured from a bird's-eye view. The use of warm colors, with vivid green and orange light streaming across a white-toned background, creates a truly striking impression.

"Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)" is a spin-off of "Jujutsu Kaisen" that ran for approximately six months, with Gege Akutami providing the storyboards and Yuji Iwasaki handling the art. While inheriting the dark world-building of the main series, the fresh narrative woven by new characters like Maru, Cross, Tsurugi, and Yuka—perfectly matched with Iwasaki’s beautiful artwork—captivated many readers.

In response to the post, fans flooded the comments with gratitude and regret over the series' end, saying things like, "It's been such a fun six months," "You could have easily done another three years, you know?," "Please give us another Jujutsu Kaisen spin-off soon," and "Another case of 'Jujutsu Loss'... this hurts too much."
