TV Anime "Aoashi Season 2" Broadcast Start Confirmed for October 4! Cast Comments from Koki Osuzu and Others & AnimeJapan Information Also Revealed

It has been announced that the TV anime "Aoashi Season 2" is scheduled to begin broadcasting on NHK E-tele from Sunday, October 4, 2026. Along with this announcement, a teaser visual and teaser PV have been released, and information about the stage event at "AnimeJapan 2026" to be held in March, as well as the rebroadcast of "Season 1" starting in April, have also been revealed.

"Aoashi" is a hugely popular soccer manga by Yugo Kobayashi that has been serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" (Shogakukan) since 2015 and reached its triumphant conclusion with the 40th volume released in August 2025. The series has surpassed 25 million copies in total circulation and continues to garner strong support even after the serialization ended. Set in J Youth, the life-sized growth of protagonist Ashito Aoi and the realistic soccer depictions have become a hot topic, capturing the hearts of a wide range of audiences including not only anime fans but also sports fans. The first season of the TV anime was broadcast from April to September 2022.

In the newly released teaser visual, Ashito Aoi, who has been promoted to the A Team, is depicted standing powerfully on a soccer notebook that represents "thinking soccer." Additionally, the teaser PV announces the opening of the next stage, the Premier League (A Team Arc), and features Ashito and others stepping into new territory, as well as the upperclassmen belonging to the A Team.

Furthermore, it has been decided that a TV anime "Aoashi Season 2" special stage will be held at the ShoPro (Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions) booth during "AnimeJapan 2026" on Sunday, March 29. Three cast members will appear on stage: Koki Osuzu (Ashito Aoi), Maki Kawase (Hana Ichijo), and Chikahiro Kobayashi (Tatsuya Fukuda), to deliver information about "Season 2." Visual exhibitions and distribution of teaser visual postcards are also planned at the booth.

In addition, prior to the broadcast of "Season 2" starting in October, a rebroadcast of TV anime "Aoashi Season 1" will be aired on NHK E-tele starting April 5, 2026. The broadcast time will be every Sunday at 5:00 PM, and a rebroadcast slot is also scheduled on the same channel every Thursday at 7:20 PM.
