An illustration supporting the second season of the anime, created by Miyu Morishita, the author of "Tsumiki Ogami’s Not-So-Ordinary Life.", was released on the official X account of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" and has become a hot topic.
The released image is an illustration of Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki) and Himmel (CV: Nobuhiko Okamoto). Blue moon grass is adorned around Frieren, and marguerites are arranged around Himmel, who is positioned upside down. Additionally, a message reading "Celebrating 'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End' Anime Season 2 - Looking forward to it" is attached to the bottom right of the illustration.
In response to this post, fans have shared reactions such as "Lovely... I also like how Frieren has blue moon grass and Himmel has marguerites," "Thank you for the wonderful illustration of Frieren and Himmel," "Both of them are lovely," and "The marguerite's meaning of 'love hidden in the heart' fits perfectly and makes me cry."
"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is based on the manga of the same name with the original story by Kanehito Yamada and artwork by Tsukasa Abe. Set in a world after the defeat of the Demon King, it depicts the journey of Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years, as she embarks on a "journey to understand people" following her farewell to the former hero Himmel and others. It is an epilogue fantasy in which she grows through encounters with new companions while intersecting with memories of the past.
