Details regarding the broadcast and streaming of Season 5, which represents the second cour of the Hawaiians arc, have been announced for the TV anime "Rent-A-Girlfriend," currently airing through its fourth season. Broadcasting will begin on Friday, April 10th at 2:23 AM on MBS, TBS, CBC's "Animeism" programming block, and other networks.
Additionally, the second key visual and main PV have been released. The key visual depicts Chizuru in a swimsuit at poolside, extending both hands toward the viewer with a determined expression—an illustration that symbolizes Season 5.
The released main PV depicts a tense development: from an impressive scene where Chizuru and Kazuya's lips draw close, it suddenly shifts to show Chizuru's profile as a "rental girlfriend" displayed on the screen of a smartphone picked up by Kazuya's grandmother. Will the relationship between the two that they've been covering up finally be exposed? The footage offers a glimpse of the greatest trial that awaits Kazuya. Furthermore, within this PV, the audio for the opening theme "Non-Scenario Etude," for which Sora Amamiya (Chizuru's voice actress) wrote the lyrics and composed the music, is revealed for the first time.
Comments from the six main cast members regarding Season 5 have also arrived. Shun Horie, who plays Kazuya Kinoshita, promotes Kazuya's struggles, saying, "Once again, Kazuya goes wild, gets caught up in things, spins his wheels, and does his best!" Sora Amamiya, who plays Chizuru, shares, "It's a crisis situation for Chizuru! Mami-san's past will also be depicted," while Aoi Yūki, who plays Mami Nanami, hints at her confidence, saying, "The episode I most wanted to perform as Mami is coming." Furthermore, comments expressing anticipation for the conclusion of the Hawaiians arc with its avalanche of developments have been received from Nao Tōyama as Ruka Sarashina, Rie Takahashi as Sumi Sakurasawa, and Yū Serizawa as Mini Yaemori.
Additionally, it has been decided that a special stage for this work will be held at "AnimeJapan 2026," taking place at Tokyo Big Sight on Sunday, March 29th.
