[Photos/Images] "The Final Handshake Shot Warms the Heart" - Major Response to the Peaceful Handshake Between Hayao Miyazaki and Hideaki Anno 1st

On the official X account of Studio Khara, Hideaki Anno reported that he met with Hayao Miyazaki at Nibariki for the first time in a while, which has become a major topic of discussion.

In the post, Anno's comment reads: "The other day, I visited Nibariki for the first time in a year. Miya-san (Hayao Miyazaki) is still energetically and freely drawing the 'pictures' he loves. He's an amazing person." He also revealed that "this time too, the photos were taken by a veteran staff member who has been with us since Nausicaä," and shared an episode about how Miyazaki, who came to see him off when he was leaving, called out to him saying "Let's shake hands," and Anno remarked with deep emotion, "He's become so peaceful."

In the published photos, Anno in a black jacket and Miyazaki wearing a white apron are captured standing side by side. The photos were taken under clear skies, in front of a building and on outdoor grounds, and in the third photo, both men can be seen firmly shaking hands.

In response to this post, fans have shared reactions such as "The final handshake shot warms my heart," "It's amazing that he continues to draw even at 85 years old," "What a lovely two-shot," and "Both of you look so peaceful and wonderful."
