[Photos/Images] Tiny Ruri-chan Breathing Fire at a Classroom Desk is Too Cute! Stop-Motion PV Showcasing Dragon Abilities from "Ruri Dragon" Released 1st

A stop-motion animation PV commemorating the release of volume 5 of the manga "Ruri Dragon" has been published on the Jump Channel on YouTube, and its adorable footage has become a major topic of discussion among fans.

The released video is a stop-motion PV featuring a deformed figure of the protagonist, Ruri Aoki. Within the footage, her dragon physiology and abilities such as "flame breath," "electric discharge," and "freezing" are introduced in a comical manner.

Against a background reminiscent of a classroom desk, Ruri's figure sits perched on top of an eraser. Dragon horns sprout from her head, and flames vigorously burst from her mouth. The flames fiercely engulf a yellow pen placed on the desk, and the imbalance between everyday stationery and dragon abilities is expressed in a way that is both powerful and adorable. Similarly, scenes are depicted of her being buffeted by strong winds on the desk while discharging electricity, and freezing the contents of a water bottle.

In response to this video, viewers have submitted numerous enthusiastic comments such as "She's way too cute!", "The cuteness is too much," and "Tiny Ruri-chan is too adorable." Additionally, reactions from fans who immediately rushed to bookstores, saying "I'm going to buy it right now," were observed in response to the impressive promotional footage.

"Ruri Dragon" is a manga work by Masaoki Shindo, currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). It is a relaxed fantasy work depicting the slightly unusual daily life of high school girl Ruri Aoki, who wakes up one morning to suddenly find horns growing from her head and is casually informed by her mother that she is half-human, half-dragon, as she navigates her confusion alongside her friends. In December 2025, it was announced that a TV anime adaptation produced by Kyoto Animation has been decided.
