[Photos/Images] Author of "Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!" Seemingly Dissatisfied with Gentlemanly Decision to Modify Towel Shadows Deemed "Too Sexy," Suppressing Body Contours? Behind-the-Scenes Story Becomes Hot Topic 1st

A behind-the-scenes story about "Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!" revealed in a post by author Takibi Amamori has become a major topic of discussion.

The post shared an episode regarding the modification of an illustration depicting one of the main heroines, Lemon Yakishio (CV: Shion Wakayama). According to Amamori, the illustration originally had darker towel shadows, making the body's contours highly visible. However, based on the judgment of character designer and illustrator Imigimuru, who felt it was "too sexy no matter how you look at it," the shadows were lightened. Regarding this incident, Amamori commented, "Please pass down to future generations that Imigimuru-sensei is a gentleman."

The actual image depicts Lemon wrapped in a single towel indoors. She has wide eyes with a slightly surprised expression, and her wet short hair, water droplets on her skin, and the wrinkles and texture of the towel are carefully depicted in monochrome.

"Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!" is a popular light novel work by Amamori that won the "Gagaga Award" at the 15th Shogakukan Light Novel Award. It has garnered significant support as an unconventional youth romantic comedy that weaves the slightly unfortunate yet endearing daily lives of "losing heroines" who have been defeated in love, such as Anna Yanami (CV: Hikaru Tohno), a gluttonous childhood friend-type heroine, and the protagonist Kazuhiko Nukumizu (CV: Shuichiro Umeda), who has a detached loner temperament.

In response to the praise for Imigimuru's wholesome judgment and Amamori's slightly disappointed nuance, fans have posted reactions such as "Sensei... there's somehow a dissatisfied air to your words," "What a gentleman!! (tears)," "Curse you, Imigimuru-sensei!," "I resent the Nukumizu family's unnecessarily good towels," and "Where can we see the paid version!?"
