[Photos/Images] "The Mages' Eyes Are Dead" "She's a Dangerous Woman..." Methode's Terrifying True Feelings Are Revealed in the New Mini-Anime of "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Sparking Discussion 1st

A new short anime titled "Magic That Makes You Say What You're Thinking Part 2" from the "●● Magic" series has been released on the official X account of the anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," and it's generating buzz.

In the video, Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki) and Fern (CV: Kana Ichinose), who had become anxious about not knowing what Methode (CV: Reina Ueda), a first-class mage exam candidate, was thinking despite being a skilled practitioner, use "magic that makes you say what you're thinking" on her.

As a result, it's revealed that Methode wasn't thinking cruel thoughts, but rather harboring the terrifying true desire of wanting to pat cute things indiscriminately, such as "I want to squeeze Frieren more and more" and "I want to pat-pat, squeeze, and nuzzle Fern too." Furthermore, it's disclosed that she holds similar desires toward Sense (CV: Haruka Terui) and Serie (CV: Mariya Ise).

In the released video, the state of mages like Frieren being patted on the head by Methode is depicted. While Methode displays a blissful expression, the eyes of the mages being patted are vacant, appearing almost dead—a distinctive phenomenon that is portrayed, making the gap quite striking.

In response to this post, fans have shared various reactions such as "The eyes of the mages being patted are dead..." "She's a dangerous woman..." "Even though Genau and the others are about to die..." and "Even demons would probably run away..."

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a fantasy work based on the manga of the same name by Kanehito Yamada (original story) and Tsukasa Abe (artwork). Set in the world "after" the Demon King was defeated by the hero and their party, it depicts the journey of Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years and defeated the Demon King alongside the hero, and the people she newly encounters.
