The anime "Jujutsu Kaisen" is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has surpassed 150 million copies in circulation worldwide. The story begins when Yuji Itadori (CV: Junya Enoki), who ends up sharing his body with the King of Curses, "Ryomen Sukuna", enrolls in the "Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College", an institution specializing in combating curses. The original manga concluded in 2024. A spin-off titled "Jujutsu Kaisen ≡ (Modulo)", written by Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) in September 2025 and reached its final chapter on March 9, 2026.
