[Photos/Images] "Everything is too chuuni," "This pose is quite something." Genau's magic scene is cool with its "chuunibyou" vibes! "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" fans go wild 1st

On the official X account for the "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" original manga, an image of Genau using magic was released, and his appearance is making waves for being "too chuunibyou."

The released image is a cut-out panel from the manga. Genau strikes a distinctive pose with his right hand near his face and his left hand lowered, while giant black wings sprout from his back and black feathers scatter around him. Beside him is a large speech bubble with the reading "Magic that Manipulates the Black-Gold Wings (Digadnacht)," creating a composition that exudes a dark atmosphere and intensity.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a fantasy series based on the manga of the same name by Kanehito Yamada (story) and Tsukasa Abe (art). Set in the world "after" the Demon King was defeated by the Hero and his party, the story follows the journey of Frieren—an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years and helped the Hero defeat the Demon King—along with the new people she meets.

In response to this post, fans have flooded in with enthusiastic reactions such as, "This guy might have a serious case of chuunibyou," "He seems like a realist, but everything about him is just too chuuni," "This pose is quite something," "He's way too cool!! (chuunibyou)," and "My affection for him just went up lol." It seems many people picked up on the chuunibyou-esque charm from the name of the magic and his pose, finding themselves drawn to this unexpected side of him.
