"Jujutsu Kaisen" is based on the manga by Gege Akutami, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), which has surpassed 150 million copies in total circulation (including digital versions) for the series. It was adapted into a TV anime starting in 2020, and "Jujutsu Kaisen 0", released in 2021, recorded a worldwide box office revenue of 26.5 billion yen. In 2023, the TV anime's 2nd season, "Hidden Inventory / Premature Death / Shibuya Incident", was broadcast. In 2025, the compilation film "Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Recap Movie" was released alongside revival screenings of past works.
