[Photos/Images] Amuro and Char Fist Bump! Incredibly Detailed "Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs." Poster Unveiled: "If You Look Closely, Shinn's Score Is Insane" 1st

Information about the "Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs." POP UP event has been released from Marui no Anime's official X account and is generating buzz.

The event, titled "Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. in OIOI," has been confirmed to take place at Namba Marui and Shinjuku Marui Annex. According to the information listed on the poster, it will be held at Namba Marui from April 15th to 20th, and at Shinjuku Marui Annex from May 15th to 24th.

The posted image is a poster visual for the POP UP event commemorating the series' 15th anniversary. In front of an arcade game cabinet, the upper section shows Char Aznable (CV: Shuichi Ikeda) and Amuro Ray (CV: Toru Furuya) facing each other and bumping fists in celebration of victory. In the lower section, they face each other across the cabinet, with Kira Yamato (CV: Soichiro Hoshi) appearing to console a dejected Shinn Asuka (CV: Kenichi Suzumura).

The "Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs." series is a 2-on-2 team battle action game. Mobile suits from past Gundam works are assembled, and the visual for this title features characters from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," which depicts the rivalry between Amuro and Char, as well as "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY," where Shinn and Kira engaged in fierce battles. The ability to enjoy dream matchups across generations is a key feature.

In response to this post, comments about the finer details of the visual are pouring in on social media. Within the screens of each cabinet depicted in the image, it appears that each character is using their own mobile suit. If Amuro and Char were to select their signature mobile suits, the "ν Gundam" and "Sazabi" respectively, both would have the maximum cost of 3000, resulting in what's known as a "3030 formation"—an extremely risky combination that causes a cost over when shot down. Therefore, as a cost adjustment, Char is piloting the "Hyaku Shiki," the mobile suit from his Quattro Bajeena era, and voices of surprise arose at this depiction that carefully considers the actual competitive environment, with comments like "It's interesting that they properly considered the team composition" and "I thought it was Char, but it was actually Captain Quattro." Similarly, reactions have been shared noting that Kira is also piloting the Strike Rouge, presumably for cost adjustment purposes.

There are also other character-related reactions such as "If you look closely, Shinn's score is insane lol" and "If it had been Athrun instead of Kira, he and Shinn would be throwing punches at each other," and expectations for the event appear to be rising, as evidenced by comments like "I'm curious about the merchandise, I wonder what they'll release."
