On Friday, March 13th at 9 PM, episode #79 of "SHIBUYA ANIME BASE (#ShibuAni)" was broadcast live on the "ABEMA Anime Channel."
This episode welcomed comedian Tenshin Hantaro as a guest and held a "Spring Anime Quiz Competition." The quiz was moderated by regular guest and voice actor Shugo Nakamura.
■Shugo Nakamura's Drawing of "Tama" Is Too Scary!? Screams Over His Unique Illustration
At the beginning of the program, voice actress Saori Hayami, who plays the role of Kunon Gurion in the anime "Kunon the Sorcerer Can See," appeared via VTR as the "executive chairperson" of this quiz competition, and the event kicked off magnificently. Right away, Hayami posed a difficult question: "What is the name of the water magic that Kunon uses most often?" No one could come up with the correct answer, "Ah Auri," and the studio struggled greatly from the very first question. However, when it was announced that a luxurious prize, "premium strawberries (Queen's Strawberry)," had been prepared for the winner, the studio's excitement surged all at once.
Next, in a buzzer quiz about the anime "Oshi No Ko," in response to the question "What scene that became a topic of discussion in the series appears to be a parody of a certain person?", Tenshin Hantaro brilliantly answered "Hiroyuki!" correctly. When footage of the "Hiroyuki-style" character that appeared in the anime was shown, a behind-the-scenes story was revealed that the person himself had quote-retweeted it saying "That's just your opinion, isn't it?", greatly livening up the studio.
In the following quiz related to the survey question "What cat character comes to mind?", regular guest Shugo Nakamura presented a question using his own hand-drawn flip illustration of "the cat character I'm thinking of." However, because the depiction of the nose in the revealed drawing was far too unique, criticisms close to screams flooded in from Tenshin Hantaro and Haraichi's Iwai, saying "Huh, what is this!?" and "The nose is way too scary!" The correct answer was Tama from "Sazae-san," but the studio was wrapped in roaring laughter at Nakamura's artistic prowess.
Furthermore, in a question from the anime "'Tis Time for "Torture," Princess," when asked "What dish is being made for the princess's torture?", Iwai made an excellent deduction and brilliant reasoning, saying "(The princess) ate it the day before. Among Chinese dishes, it's relatively light," but he wrote "Happosai" on his flip board for a painful incorrect answer (the correct answer was fried rice).
