The gap between the small, cute characters and the harsh worldview has gained widespread popularity from adults to children, with followers currently surpassing 4.61 million.
The anime "Chiikawa" is currently broadcast every Tuesday and Thursday around 7:36 AM within "Mezamashi TV" on the Fuji Television network. Additionally, the first theatrical film for "Chiikawa," "Chiikawa The Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island," is scheduled for release on July 24, 2026.
