A support illustration by Yuhiro Tsujitsugu, the author of "Snowball Earth," was released on the official X account of the original "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," and it has become a hot topic. The official account expressed words of gratitude in the post, stating, "Thank you very much, Yuhiro Tsujitsugu-sensei of 'Snowball Earth.'"
The released illustration features the text "Congratulations! Anime Season 2!!" against a blue sky background, and depicts Frieren (CV: Atsumi Tanezaki) holding a large snowball in a snowy landscape with a joyful smile on her face. The anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a fantasy work set in the world "after" the Demon King was defeated by the hero and his party. It depicts the journey of Frieren, an elf mage who has lived for over a thousand years, as she embarks on a journey to understand humanity, triggered by the death of her former companion, the hero Himmel. The original work is a manga of the same name by Kanehito Yamada (original story) and Tsukasa Abe (artwork), currently serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday."
